BATALA PHILLY
FEEL THE JOY, LET'S DRUM!

ABOUT US
Batala Philly is an all-percussion, community band that plays Samba Reggae music from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. As part of the larger Batala Mundo global arts project, we also play with other Batala bands in the U.S. and around the world. As of May 2021, Batala Philly is the only existing Batala approved band in Philadelphia. Our distinctive sound provides energy and the urge to dance like nothing else.
